my youngest daughter has always had a really serendipitous take on life. (since i tend to go that way as well, i tried to let the happy-go-lucky times be abundant.) she and a friend are catching raindrops in their shoes, both convinced that this is the Best Game Ever! they painted the house with water. they drew race courses for bugs on the driveway- they had FUN! there's almost always more room in our lives for whimsy.
sara and nate's wedding was (loosely) patterned after the mad hatter's tea party. nobody had a better time than the bride and groom. (that's my first-born in the middle of the happy couple.) there was lots of rain but it stopped long enough for the ceremony to take place.
